Jill’s love for animals started as a toddler when she brought home a turtle from the backyard creek in upstate New York. After her baby sister tried to eat the little creature, she was sadly forced to return it. She then found a stray cat, spending hours enthralled with the magazine Cat Fancy learning how to be the best feline mom, and later adopted two teddy bear hamsters, throwing sunflower seed parties for them in her dollhouse.
Jill moved to the Roaring Fork Valley in 2001 for a teaching job and continues to tutor in her spare time. She also enjoys sharing her love for hiking, skiing, cooking and community volunteering with her husband, Eric, and son, Eli. They happily share their home with Conni and Rana, a rescue cat and former classroom frog. In February 2020 Jill became a proud member of the Willits Vet family and welcomes all furry, feathered and scaly friends with a big smile.
