Q: What diet does Willits Veterinary Hospital carry? Should that be what my pet is eating?

A: At Willits Vet, we carry Royal Canin. However, there are many other food options out there that could be a good fit for your pet. If you have specific questions regarding your pet’s diet, make an appointment to speak with your veterinarian.

Regarding Prescription Refills

Q: How do I get my pet’s prescription refilled?

A: When your pet is close to being out of their needed medication, give us a call. When calling our clinic located in Basalt, follow the voice commands to leave a message on our prescription line. When calling to get a refill at our clinic located in Glenwood Springs, speak to the receptionist.

Q: How long do I need to wait before picking up my pet’s medication refill?

A: Typically we can get medications refilled the same day that you call them in. However, there are some special circumstances that may impact the time it takes to refill your pet’s medication. If the medication needed has to be mailed to you, called into another pharmacy or special ordered, the time it takes to get the medication may be longer. After the medication is refilled, you should receive a phone call or text message updating you that it is ready to be picked up!

Q: Do I have to purchase my pet’s prescription food or medications directly from the Willits Vet clinic?

A: It might be shocking, but the answer to this is no. You now have the capability to purchase certain prescription items from the comfort of your home, and have them sent directly to your house through our online pharmacy.
